Natrolite-phonolite is a naturally occurring aluminosilicate mineral of the zeolite group used as an anti-caking agent and binder. As an insoluble mineral it is poorly absorbed and biologically inert in the gut. It is authorised in the EU as a feed additive and is regarded as inert at food-use levels.
