Dilauryl thiodipropionate is the dilauryl ester of thiodipropionic acid, used as an antioxidant that protects fats and oils by breaking down oxidation peroxides. It is used at low levels and has low toxicity at those levels. It is not authorised as a food additive in the UK or EU and is more commonly used to stabilise plastics and cosmetics.
