Thiodipropionic acid is a sulfur-containing organic acid used as an antioxidant to protect fats, oils and fat-soluble vitamins from oxidative rancidity, chiefly by decomposing the peroxides formed during oxidation. It has low toxicity at the levels used in food. It is not authorised as a food additive in the UK or EU.
