Riboflavin-5'-Sodium Phosphate (E106): What It Is and Is It Safe?
Riboflavin-5'-sodium phosphate is a water-soluble sodium salt of the vitamin B2 phosphate ester, used as a yellow colour and vitamin source. It is chemically equivalent to the substance authorised in the EU as E101ii, and the standalone E106 code is no longer in current use. EFSA's re-evaluation of riboflavin food additives found no safety concern at authorised use levels.
